Editorial Principles
TwentyForty exists to explore and accelerate the future of freight. Our editorial principles ensure we maintain independence, transparency, and credibility in everything we produce.
Independence
We are not tied to any single vendor, technology, or fuel pathway. Our recommendations reflect genuine operational insight, not commercial alignment.
Honesty Over Hype
When something doesn't work, we say so. When results are mixed, we report them accurately. Credibility depends on telling it straight.
Transparency
We disclose partnerships, sponsorships, and any commercial relationships that could influence our content. Context matters.
Evidence-Based
We prioritise real-world data, trials, and operator experience over theoretical projections or manufacturer claims.
Practical Focus
Everything we publish aims to be useful. If it doesn't help an operator make a better decision, we question whether it belongs here.
Respect for Complexity
The transition to zero-emission freight is hard. We acknowledge nuance, avoid oversimplification, and don't pretend there are easy answers.
How We Work
Our content is created by people with direct operational experience in freight and logistics. We work alongside active fleets, test technologies in real environments, and share what we learn openly.
When we partner with technology providers or other organisations, we maintain editorial independence. Partners do not have approval over content, and we clearly distinguish between editorial content and sponsored material.
We welcome feedback, corrections, and challenges to our work. Getting it right matters more than looking right.
