Iona

Iona is a drone logistics company developing autonomous delivery systems for remote and underserved communities. Founded by Etienne Louvet, the company has built a tilt-rotor drone capable of carrying up to 20kg over distances of 100-200km, combined with robotic parcel dispatch hubs and AI-powered logistics management. Iona targets rural last-mile and light cargo delivery, with operations based in Shannon, Ireland, and development supported by DfT TRIG funding and the Connected Places Catapult Freight Innovation Fund.
