Energy Systems Catapult

Energy Systems Catapult is an independent, not-for-profit research and technology organisation established by Innovate UK in 2015 to accelerate the transformation of the UK's energy system. Based in Birmingham with over 250 staff, the Catapult takes a whole-system view of the energy sector, providing technical, commercial and policy expertise to help clean tech innovators test, trial and scale their products and services. Its work spans Local Area Energy Planning, building decarbonisation, energy digitalisation and flexibility, drawing on more than 500 research projects and sector-leading modelling tools.
